My husband has run in Asics for years. He usually gets another style but decided to try the Excite because they were on sale. The material in the uppers is very breathable which is nice on hot days. They also have a very stable, thick sole which is perfect for running on asphalt. Take my advice, upsize half size bigger

I need to start suggesting everyone that owns Gel-Kayano, Gel-Cumulus and/or GT-1000 14, that if for example you wear US men's size 11 with these, order 11.5 in Gel-Excite 11. When I did a search using AI for getting suggestions on the fitment and sizing of the Gel-Excite's 11, I got 'order half size up' in all results, I was a little skeptical but I follow the suggestions and I'm glad I did because no way that size 11 would've fit me, 11.5 fit me perfectly as the Gel-Kayano 32 in size 11. I've just tried these one, so far I feel them comfortable, I walked for 5K steps and haven't had any discomfort with my flat feet and the issue I have with my left knee patellar tendon. I stood up for 30 minutes while I waited for my car at the carwash, no issues. Time will tell about durability, but I can say the looks and comfort are pretty good for such a budget shoe.
