If the horse prefers the reins without the cradles, they are designed to be easily removed by simply detaching the cradle. English vegetable tanned leather and silver colored buckles.

This product is great EXCEPT it arrived having melted into the cap and has a grainy texture (photo). I opted to send it back and received my replacement today. Unfortunately, it arrived in the exact same condition. The product has melted into the cap and texture is grainy. I will keep both as the product is great but I won't be reordering until they can figure out how to ship their lip balms without it melting. I've ordered other tallow lip balms and they didn't melt during shipping.
