It is double sided, so the underside fuzz is a little shorter. It kept us warm but not too warm. If you overheat easily, this is perfect. I didnโ€™t notice any shedding. I havenโ€™t washed it yet but hopefully it wonโ€™t lose its luster once I do. I love the bubble pattern of the fur. The fur is luxurious and not cheap looking. It looks amazing on our bed.
