French TAP Camouflage Trousers, 1956Issued in 1956, these original French Army trousers were produced for paratrooper and combat units during the Algerian War. They feature the iconic TAP Lizard camouflage one of the earliest and most influential camouflage patterns ever adopted by a modern army. Constructed from lightweight cotton, the trousers follow early French combat specifications: a high rise cut, button fly, drawstring waist, side cargo pocket and adjustable leg openings.
