The box is made of pine and features a lift up lid which opens to reveal an internal metal cutter set over a pierced base. To the bottom of the box is a shallow drawer, designed to catch the sugar which has been cut from a sugar loaf in the compartment above. The metal blade is stamped with L. G. Wibell, Eskilstuna.
