Oil painting by Ruben Gelardi - 1959Born in Copenhagen, Ruben Gelardi was the son of painter Herdis Gelardi. He debuted his work in 1950 at Trefoldigheden with a solo exhibition of landscapes, cityscapes, installations and portraits. In 1954, Gelardi was one of the youngest of the time to be admitted to the painting school at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
