Forward shifted X bracing works in tandem with the tonewoods to offer classic Martin tone. The neck of the D 35 boasts Martin's comfortable Modified Low Oval profile, and is topped with an ebony fingerboard, divided by 20 total frets with Mother of Pearl inlays between them.
