It is made of metal at the bicycle structure, painted upcycled newspapers are molded to make the cyclists body which is dressed in Ankara and the wood at bottom is painted using clear gloss varnish. I definitely like the look of my shelves with these brackets, but be careful with the provided anchors and screws. The big anchors that you screw into the wall - if they aren’t perfectly flat the bracket will wiggle. Also, the screws and anchors aren’t compatible so you either need to buy smaller anchors or bigger screws so will hold tight. Unfortunately we installed half before figuring that out, so I ended up getting some small L brackets for each side so my shelves would be stable.
