Bakelite Dog with Hat CharmVintage 1940s bakelite charm of what looks to be a dog in a hat smoking a pipe. Some of the red paint has chipped and there is a blue smudge on the back leg. Some dirt and scratches and the charm loop has wear.

The box is lined with rough felt that grabs onto the tissue and makes it hard to extract. The tissue often shreds as it comes out of the box. It's nicely made and seems to offer a little luxury until you try to use it. The problem lessens if you fill the box halfway when refilling which, to me, seems to be a pretty poor work around. I would not recommend this box for purchase.
