20" Black Loon by Ning AshoonaInuit art: Swan Bird Loon Inuit Artist: Ningeosiak Ashoona Size: 19. 5" long, 9" high, 3" wide Community: Cape Dorset, NU Stone: Serpentine id: dfa 6470Nbdjjy The rippling visage of the black stone make this one of the nicest loons I have ever seen by Ningeosiak. Its intensity is sublime to the effervescent glow of luminosity. Ning Ashoona is the only active female carver from Cape Dorset. Loons are her signature carvings. Ningeosiak Ashoona (1979 )

It seems dull and preachy now but may have been fine when it was written (many moons ago). However, not a patch on the magnificent (at least in my memory as a child) Ferdinand The Bull - still a favourite of mine (am I really that old?) I've recently bought many copies for a number of two-year-old children.

Super cute board book!

Format: Board book, Format: Board book

This book is amazing! So great for working on speech and language skills and kids just love it! It's so fun and the illustrations are so adorable! I love that the text is simple and short, it keeps kids attention! I also love the Let's Go Kitty book from this same author!
