If you want a book that makes you wanna grab a fishing rod and just take it easy, this is the one for you. It’s got some elements of progression/cultivation, but this is first and foremost about fishing and friendship. The author puts so much detail into the eating and cooking of the fish on here, it almost made me forget I don’t like the taste of fish!

I liked the book. But, I didn’t like the romance aspect of it. Felt somewhat forced. The last 10% or so was a slog to get through. I don’t like feeling like you can’t wait for something to be over. I would have skipped but it was the last chapters of the book and it felt a bit lazy; it wasn’t as if I didn’t want to know what happened… I can’t explain it.
