Large Silver NefA large silver nef with three masts import marked for 1974. A nef was an elaborate table ornament during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Nefs were used to decorate the banqueting table and were also used to hold spices, cutlery and napkins. The earliest known Nef dates to 1239 and an example is depicted in the Tres Riches Heures du Duc de Berry. The wheels allowed the Nef to be wheeled from one end of the table to the other.

Step 1) plug hole with a smear of peanut butter. 2) put a low calorie but appetizing mix of whatever you want: yogurt, pate, pumpkin puree, blended with frozen veggies on the walls 3) freeze cone for 30 mins. Hole will be sufficiently plugged to add liquid. 4) fill the rest with water or bone broth and freeze overnight to make it a changing ice block.
