A typical day involves working outside, running in to grab lunch on one of these plates, then using the plate to keep parts together for whatever I'm working on. A magnet underneath does wonders, combined with the plate lip to keep small bits from flying everywhere! I also use them under potted plants. If water seeps through the pot, it doesn't leak through the plate. The size and shape are fit for a hearty meal. The tall lip is firm and keeps juices or sauces from sloshing over.
