While the bulk of the stone is a royal blue often used in paint pigment, it can also contain inclusions of calcite and quartz, resulting in white streaks. While it is commonly mistaken for lapis lazuli, sodalite does not contain any pyrite inclusions the way lapis does, and any orange or brown inclusions are typically feldspar.

the problem with these "cooling" pillows is any cooling effect is almost completely negated by a pillow case. this particular pillow is cool to the touch, but completely useless as it flattens out completely, way too soft I think for anyone. I would not recommend this "NASA" pillow for anyone for anything. Maybe for 10 bucks, but certainly not what they ask for this. I did keep it though. It is "cool" but only for a moment and your flipping it around like any other pillow. also way too soft. BUt, it has been cool enough to get me back to sleep.
