The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. These are very thin and apparently very delicious as all four of my dogs LOVE them! I have very sensitive dogs that are able to digest this treat with no difficulty. The only thing I have to mention is this: if your dog is small, break the chip in half or quarters to avoid any choking. Great product!
