Vending Machine EggPrewar metal vending machine egg shaped container. It is was used to hold candy or a small toy in a vending machine (similar to the plastic ones you still see in grocery stores today). It is marked "Hartwig & Vogel A. G. Automaten Abt." They founded the automatic vending machines in 1887. They were located in Dresden and during WWII they produced detonators. The factory was badly damage by the bombing and the company became VEB Tell after the war.
